Farmer's Market Coupons

The Schuyler County Office for the Aging is expecting Farmer’s Market Coupons to arrive by Mid-July. They will be available for low-income Schuyler County Seniors age 60 and over and can be exchanged for fruits and vegetables at local farmers markets. Seniors must be receiving or eligible for SSI, public assistance, food stamps, Heap or a section 8 housing subsidy or have a monthly income of less than $1,670 if single or $2,246 if married. Coupons will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Watkins Glen Library Fund Raiser

Book Sale Starts Thursday

The annual Friends of the Watkins Library Used Book Sale gets under way Thursday, June 10, at The Arc of Schuyler on 12th Street.

Thousands of books for all interests and all ages are offered at the sale, which goes through Saturday, June 12.

Many of the sections are sorted alphabetically, and other items such as audio books, CDs and puzzles are also in the sale.

Hours: Thursday, June 10, and Friday, June 11, from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday, June 12, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Proceeds from the sale support programs at the Watkins Glen Public Library.
