Edible Landscape
Edible landscape- Saturday August 21st—A S.A.G.E Workshop 10:00-11:30am (Schuyler Area Garden Enthusiasts) —Betty Reno at Chateau Lafayette Reneau winery 10-11:30AM. Chateau LaFayette Reneau 5081 Route 414 (7 Miles North of Watkins Glen) Hector, NY 14841. Highlights will be garlic, shallots, blackberries, sage and herbs. Fee to attend is $5. Volunteers Needed: Gardeners
Cornell Cooperative Extension is looking for a small group of volunteers to work in the new community garden at the Human Services Complex in Montour Falls. Duties include: weeding, harvesting, insect scouting and organic control solutions, signage, watering, compost mixing, pruning, pinching, bed preparation, crop rotation, seeding in the greenhouse and weekly reporting.
This assignment will start in early June and run through late September. They expect it will take 4-8 hours /week/volunteer.
